    One short form per adult, about 10 minutes. Documents are optional to start, and your information goes only to Michael.

How Vemian handles your information. Updated October 29, 2026.

What we collect

Only what you send us: your name and contact details when you message us or book a viewing, and, when you apply, the answers on the application (such as your date of birth, current and past addresses and landlords, work and income, and an emergency contact) plus any documents you choose to upload. Your Social Insurance Number and driver’s licence number are optional.

Why

To answer you, arrange viewings and assess your application for the home you chose, including the reference and credit checks you agree to in the application.

Who sees it

Michael at Vemian, and the landlord of the home you apply for or the landlord’s property manager. A credit reporting agency only if you consent to a credit check. We never sell your information.

Where it’s kept, and for how long

Messages and applications arrive by email at contact@vemian.com; uploaded documents are stored in Vemian’s private Google Drive. We keep an application for one year after a decision is made on it (British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act asks for at least a year), then delete it.
